Cape Town - Manchester United are reportedly preparing a sensational £70 million off-season move for Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The Red Devils have struggled at the business end of the field in the Premier League this season, with Wayne Rooney and Anthony Martial the club's top scorers with just seven goals each.
And, the side's profligacy in the final third again came to the fore on Saturday as they slumped to a 2-1 defeat against a struggling Sunderland, leaving Louis van Gaal's six points adrift of the top-four.
However, Manchester United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward this week revealed a £121.6m transfer war chest will be available in the off-season, while adding that 'star signings' will be arriving at Old Trafford.
And, following that revelation, Aubameyang is just one of a host of Europe's biggest names having been linked with United, including Barcelona superstar Neymar, Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale and Bayern Munich ace Robert Lewandowski.
