Cape Town - Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has confirmed that his club have received an offer from West Ham for Algeria winger Rachid Ghezzal.
Merseyside duo Liverpool and Everton have also been linked to the Lyon academy product, who scored 10 goals and provided nine assists in Ligue 1 last season.
Ghezzal still has a year to go on his contract, and while Aulas says Lyon are hoping to tie him down with a new deal, the president concedes an offer to play in the Premier League may be too tempting for the Algerian to turn down.
"I held his hand, and spoke with him; he wants me to talk to his advisers, and I will call them this week to break the deadlock," Aulas told L’Equipe.
"It would be great if we can reach an agreement, but we have received offers for him from West Ham.
"I know Rachid doesn’t want to leave Lyon so we have to find an agreement, as this situation is neither good for him nor for the club."
