Luiz admits he's 'obsessed' with Premier League title

Cape Town - Chelsea defender David Luiz has admitted that he is obsessed with winning the Premier League because it's one of the most difficult competitions to win.

The Brazilian returned to Stamford Bridge in August and has become a key member of manager Antonio Conte's much-lauded 3-4-3 formation, helping the Blues to the top of the standings.

Chelsea have a four-point lead over Tottenham with only four games left, and Luiz is determined to play his part in clinching the Premier League title.

"Winning the Premier League has always been an obsession of mine," Luiz said. "This is one of the toughest competitions in the world. We've worked hard to make this dream come true."

Luiz went on to praise the work Conte has done since arriving at the club, adding: "He's extremely meticulous. There isn't a tiny detail he isn't aware of. He's the type of guy who sees things most people wouldn't.

In training he creates situations that he thinks could occur during the upcoming games - and it makes all the difference.

"He also knows how to motivate us and gives confidence to the whole squad. We all know that he trusts in our ability and one of his best qualities is that he treats everyone equally."
