Lingard believes Manchester United team-mate Anthony Martial has the
ability to cut through defences this season, after his impressive
display against Burton.
Jose Mourinho's side thrashed the Brewers 4-1 on Wednesday in their
EFL Cup third-round clash and Martial came away with the

"When he is running at you, any defender is going to be put on the
back foot. If he continues to do that throughout the season, he'll be a
force this season," the United youth product quoted as saying by the
"I thought we dominated the game throughout. With the pace we had up
front, we pressed them early on and the early goal helped us a lot.
