Kolo: Yaya wants to play for Pep

Cape Town - Kolo Toure has poured cold water over the "Yaya Toure to leave Manchester City after Pep Guardiola's arrives" flames.

The Citizens have confirmed that current Bayern Munich manager Guardiola will replace Manuel Pellegrini as boss at the Etihad Stadium at the end of the season.

Yaya played under Guardiola at Barcelona, but he joined City after he couldn't find a regular place in the La Liga giants’ starting XI and his agent Dimitry Seluk admitted after the announcement that the Ivorian could leave the club.

"I think Yaya will leave the club. But before leaving I hope he will win again the League and all the cups," Seluk told SunSport.

"It's not a question of whether Pep likes him or not. It's life, you know. Pep can call Yaya and speak to him to let him know 'I'm with you' or 'I am not with you'."

However, Liverpool defender Kolo says his brother won't have a problem working under Guardiola, but also adds the usual "anything can happen"

"Everybody wants to play for Pep. He is a top manager. They know each other very well and I don't think it will be a problem if they keep working together," the 34-year-old said.

"I guess Yaya wants to play for Pep but it depends on what he is thinking and what Pep is thinking. It is a difficult question. He is my younger brother but I leave him to take his decisions for his career.

"He has been amazing, he has been a top player. Of course when you get to that kind of age anything can happen."
