Kessie's agent reveals Premier League interest

Cape Town - Manchester United are one of several Premier League clubs interested in Atalanta midfielder Frank Kessie, according to the player's agent.

The Ivory Coast international has been included in the Elephants' 2017 African Cup of Nations squad, and clubs are reportedly lining up for his services with the fear that his price tag may skyrocket after the continental showpiece.

The 20-year-old Kessie is arguably one of the brightest young talents in Serie A and is considered as the natural heir to Yaya Toure's role within the national team squad.

His agent, George Atangana, confirmed the Red Devils are just one of many English club's vying for his services next month, but highlighted that any move will need to be a positive step towards his development,

"We have a lot of interest from the Premier League. Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal," he told the Manchester Evening News.

"I cannot say at this stage how much he will cost but we are talking about one of the best young players in the world.

"But for us the most important thing is that the technical project is the right one for him. Franck is very, young so we have to be very careful about his development."
