Cape Town - Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane could be out of action for the next two months after suffering an ankle injury, according to several reports.
Kane suffered the injury during his side’s 1-0 win over Southampton on Sunday. The 23-year-old scored the only goal of the match in the 59th minute, but fell awkwardly towards the end of the match and had to be stretchered off the pitch.
He was seen leaving White Hart Lane wearing a protective boot and on crutches.
While Tottenham have yet to confirm the severity of his injury, reports suggest that he sustained ligament damage, which could rule him out for six to eight weeks.
Should Kane be sidelined for two months, it will be a big for the Spurs as they will be without their star striker for matches against Manchester City, Leicester City and Arsenal.
If the injury turns out to be less serious that initially thought, Kane may only be out for as little as 10 days.
