Januzaj enjoying Defoe partnership

Cape Town - Sunderland play-maker Adnan Januzaj reveals he is happy to be providing chances for striker Jermain Defoe to score, rather than go for goal himself.

The midfielder is currently on loan from Manchester United and has been moved into a more attacking role alongside Defoe by manager David Moyes in recent weeks.

The results have been phenomenal with the form of both Januzaj and Defoe benefiting as a result.

"I really like playing with him - even though he always asks for the ball," the Belgium international told the club's official website.

Januzaj provided the assists for both of Defoe's goals against Palace and is looking forward to learning as much as he can from the experienced forward.

"He's an unbelievable striker and you can see that with his goals on Saturday because they weren't easy chances. He's someone I can learn a lot from," he added.

"I wouldn't say I'd played badly in the games before, but obviously people are talking because I got the assists and made a difference.

"It was a good game for me there is no doubt, and when there is more confidence in the team it's easier for me and JD to create because we're playing much better."
