Heynckes: Arsenal should be wary of Aubameyang

Cape Town - Bayern Munich manager Jupp Heynckes has warned Arsenal that they may have their hands full with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, due to him having 'character issues'.

The Gunners are in pursuit of the Borussia Dortmund striker, in the wake of Alexis Sanchez's move to Premier League rivals Manchester United, but Heynckes believes the transfer is ill-advised.

Aubameyang has scored a sensational 13 goals in only 15 Bundesliga games this season, but he's also been suspended by Dortmund on two occasions due to disciplinary problems, such as skipping important team meetings, and Heynckes doesn't think the Gabon international's talents are worth the potential pitfalls.

"I am very critical towards Aubameyang but I also think that about the Ousmane Dembele situation as well," Heynckes told the press, according to Metro.

"If you are a club who want to acquire players like this you had better think about it twice.

"You have to understand that these character issues can re-surface in the future."

When asked if he would ever consider a move for Aubameyang, Heynckes added: "Certainly not."
