Hazard admits dream to play for 'idol' Zidane

Cape Town - Eden Hazard insists he remains committed to Chelsea, but admits it would be difficult to pass up the chance to play for his idol, Zinedine Zidane.

The Belgium international has been linked with a move to Real Madrid in the past following his eye-catching displays for the Blues, who have managed to ward off interest in their talisman thus far.

Hazard is tied to the west London club until 2020 after being rewarded with a new five-and-a-half-year contract in February 2015, but he has revealed a desire to work with Los Blancos boss Zidane in the future.

"Everyone knows the respect I have for the man"  the 26-year-old told RTL. "For the player he was and for the coach he is, he was my idol.

"Of course I don't know what will happen in my career in the future, but to play under him would be a dream.

"At this time, though, I'm happy at Chelsea. I still have a lot of things to do at Chelsea, and I'm focused on Chelsea."

Hazard missed the start of the season with an ankle injury, but he's already contributed three goals and four assists in 13 appearances across all competitions for Antonio Conte's side since returning to fitness.
