Cape Town - Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard has praised Sadio Mane for his speed and finesse after starring in the 4-1 thrashing of West Ham on Saturday.
Mane made a big impact for the Reds at the London Stadium, shortly after recovering from a hamstring problem, as he set up both of Mohamed Salah's goals on the day.
Gerrard was full of praise for the Senegal international after the clash, stating that he has a strong, positive influence on games.
"He's awesome, he's great to watch. I'm not saying it from a biased point of view," Gerrard told the club's official website.
"He's the type of player you'd go and pay big money to go and watch every single week because he's great on the eye. He's so quick, he makes things happen.
"For someone so quick and the speed that he does it at, to have the touch and the finesse that he shows for the first goal - and also for the second assist - is world class."
