Liverpool - Everton missed out on the win against Liverpool on Monday, but Gareth Barry moved up the ladder of those with the most Premier League matches.

Ryan Giggs heads the list with 632, all for Manchester United, while, Barry, now has 610 for Aston Villa, Manchester City and Everton, on Monday he went past Frank Lampard's 609 for West Ham United, Chelsea and City.

Barry has played in 15 games so far this season, but with 21 to play cannot catch Giggs without another campaign.

The 35-year-old made his senior debut in 1998 with Aston Villa, who he played for 365 times in the Premier League, before adding to that tally with 132 for  Manchester City, including in their title-winning 2011-2012 season.

Barry this season could crack 100 games for Everton after taking that mark to 81 in the 1-0 loss to Liverpool.

He was part of a typically competitive clash, putting in a cross for Romelu Lukaku to head over Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet as well as the crossbar after Everton manager Ronald Koeman brought him on for the injured James McCarthy at halftime.

Everton next play champions Leicester City on Monday next week.

Kick off is scheduled for 17:00.
