Cape Town - Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera is set to have talks with Louis van Gaal about his lack of game time.
According to the Daily Star, Herrera has been frustrated with the amount of playing time he is getting under the Dutchman.
Since signing the former Atletico Bilbao midfielder for £29m in 2014, he has just made 32 appearances for the Red Devils.
A source said: "Ander is worried about his lack of progress at Manchester United under Louis van Gaal.
"He feels like he's lost his identity as a player and doesn't know what his role is anymore."
Meanwhile, Herrera has also been struggling with a hamstring injury and missed United's draw to Leicester City the past weekend.
On Saturday, December 5 the Red Devils welcome West Ham United to Old Trafford for an English Premiership tie.
Kick-off is at 17:00.
