Cape Town - West Brom captain Jonny Evans has made it clear that he has no plans to leave the club for Leicester City, despite a bid from the Foxes.
The former Manchester United centre-back has earned the armband ahead of the 2017/18 season after the departure of Darren Fletcher, but Leicester attempted to pry him away from the Hawthornes this transfer window.
Evans, however, doesn't have any interest in leaving the Baggies and has revealed that the club are also keen to keep him.
"The club made me aware of it as soon as it happened and they informed me that they weren’t going to sell me," Evans said, according to the Birmingham Mail. "That was the position that was."
"Yeah, totally," he added, when asked if he was happy to stay.
"I've been made club captain here this season, so unless the club turn round and say they want to sell me, nothing’s changed from the last two seasons."
