Cape Town - Watford
midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure believes the Hornets may be capable of
squeezing into the top half of the Premier League this season.
Manager Marco Silva has already made an impact at the club, after taking over the reins in the off-season, and led the team to a 2-0 win over Southampton on Saturday.
The result maintained their unbeaten start to the season, with two wins and two draws from four league games, and Doucoure believes it bodes well for the rest of the campaign.
"We're very happy with our start. It's impressive, but we have to keep going like this. The manager said before we have to fight for every ball, and that's what we have done," he told the club's website.
"The mentality has changed a bit, but the players have changed a bit too. The manager is very honest and fair, and it's good for everyone to play at the moment.
"Marco is a very good guy. He has brought a good spirit to the team and has pushed us to play at the top," the France youth international added. "There's no big difference specifically, but he has put the fighting spirit into us, and brought in good competition.
"We have to stay in the Premier League first, but the top 10 is a possibility. We're taking it game by game though, and it's too early to really talk."
