Berlin - Bundesliga outfit Cologne have ruled out selling left-back Jonas Hector this month, despite rumoured interest from Chelsea.
German international Hector only penned a new deal at Cologne during the summer after he was the subject of speculation linking him with both Liverpool and Chelsea.
There have been fresh reports that Chelsea are interested in the 26-year-old in the January transfer window, but Cologne boss Peter Stoger insists there has been no approach from the Premier League leaders.
"I would not say that any player of any club in the world is not for sale, but we have extended Jonas’ contract and I think the player is clear, he knows what he wants," said Stoger.
"If there is any club Jonas is interested in, then we would talk to them. But Jonas didn’t say that he wants to leave the club and go to Chelsea, so it doesn’t matter.
"If someone wants to leave the club then we have to talk about it, but not before."
Chelsea meanwhile have received a boost when they were given the green light for a multi-million pound redevelopment of their Stamford Bridge stadium.
