Clement: Swansea must beat Stoke

Cape Town - Swansea head coach Paul Clement has reiterated the importance of beating Stoke, as he aims to avoid relegation from the Premier League.

Clement's side host the Potters on Saturday in a crucial game in the context of the relegation battle, while fellow strugglers Hull welcome Watford to the KCOM Stadium.

The Englishmen has urged his players to give their utmost to claim victory as the Swans sit two points below safety - and the Tigers - in 18th place.

"Stoke City have a lot of experience," Clement said, according to the Stoke Sentinel. "But we should be going into the game confident that we can get the right result.

"They know how important this is for the club, for the fans and for the city. Our form has been better at home than away, and the fact Hull are home to Watford, a game I believe they will win, we have to win.

"I hope the players respond, they have not responded well over last six games when pressure has been there, but we have to perform to alleviate it. Otherwise the last few games will be for nothing."
