Clement confirms Dyer back in Swansea contention

Cape Town - Swansea City manager Paul Clement has revealed that winger Nathan Dyer is available again for selection after recovering from a long-term injury.

The 29-year-old has not made a first-team appearance since February 2017 when he ruptured his Achilles tendon in the 2-0 win over Leicester City.

However, Dyer has recently regained some of his match fitness with the Under-23s after making a full recovery and Clement has stated that he could start against Huddersfield Town on Saturday.

"Nathan is available for selection now," said Clement, according to the BBC.

"He has played two games for the Under-23s and he is training well. It has got to the point now where he can be considered for action."

Dyer made only eight Premier League appearances for the Swans last season, prior to the injury, providing one assist.
