Citizens, Barca agree deal for Bravo

Cape Town - Barcelona and Manchester City have agreed a deal that will see the English club buy goalkeeper Claudio Bravo from the Primera Division champions.

The 33-year-old Bravo, who played in Barca's opening league victory over Real Betis on Saturday, will join the Citizens in the next few days.

However, the hold up of the transfer is that Barcelona's other keeper Marc-André ter Stegen is currently out injured and the Catalan club want a reliable replacement.

Barcelona's technical secretary Robert Fernandez said on Barcelona's official twitter account: "We have the beginning of an agreement with Manchester City for Claudio Bravo.

"We are awaiting events this week. When Claudio leaves, we hope to have a new keeper."

City manager Pep Guardiola is in the market for a goalkeeper as he feels Joe Hart is not skillfull enough with is feet with Willy Caballero playing in City's two opening victories of the Premier League season.
