United legend Ryan Giggs has praised the influence of Michael Carrick,
claiming that the midfielder makes everyone around him better.
Carrick recently penned a one-year extension to his contract at United, and Giggs believes it's a great decision by the club's decision makers to keep the midfielder for another season.
The 35-year-old made 23 Premier League starts for Jose Mourinho's side last season, and his former teammate has spoken highly of Carrick's positive impact on and off the field.
"Michael just makes players around him play better," said Giggs, according to talkSPORT.
"He's got that calming influence that you can see on and off the pitch, it's a pleasure to play with him.
"When you play with players, you want to trust them when they have the ball and Michael is one of those players.
"When he is on the pitch, you can trust him. He always makes the right decision."
