Cabaye: Zaha crucial for Palace

Cape Town - Crystal Palace midfielder Yohan Cabaye admits the team needs a fit Wilfried Zaha as they they missed his presence on the pitch when he was injured.

Zaha was sidelined early in the season due to a knee injury but is back in the Palace team and has helped them improve their form in recent weeks.

The Ivory Coast international played out of his boots in his Eagles return as they beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, and also scored a 97th-minute equaliser against West Ham.

"Wilf is very important for us and for the club," Cabaye told Sky Sports.

"He can do some things that only he knows how to do. It is important to have that kind of player in the squad.

"We missed him, and also Christian [Benteke], when he was injured and then since he's back he's showed everyone what he can do on the pitch.

"Hopefully he will be in a good way after last week and the game for Ivory Coast and hopefully he will play well on Saturday [against Everton]."
