Doha - Tottenham's Son Heung-Min has a suspected broken arm after South Korea's Soccer World Cup qualifying defeat to Qatar on Tuesday.
Son left the field in obvious pain in the 33rd minute clutching his right forearm after an aerial challenge during his country's 3-2 defeat.
He was escorted down the tunnel by medical staff holding an ice pack on his arm.
South Korea coach Uli Stielike said after the game that English Premier League player may have suffered a fracture.
"We have to have a scan, it may be broken," said Stielike.
"It's not good."
A Korean Football Association spokesperson told AFP in Seoul on Wednesday: "Son is suspected of having his arm broken. Our team doctor had the arm braced before being scanned when the team arrives back here this afternoon."
The 24-year winger has been in sparkling form, winning Premier League Player of the Month for April, the only player to win the award twice last season, and scoring 21 goals in all competition for Spurs.
