Bellerin: Second place still possible

Cape Town - Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin believes that his side can still finish as runners-up in the Premier League, ahead of their north London rivals Tottenham.

The Gunners are three points behind their neighbours with two games remaining, although Spurs' vastly superior goal difference should be taken into account as well.

"For us it's important to finish third, or even second," the PFA's right-back of the season told Sky Sports.

"Obviously, as a team we want to finish as high as we can, and in a good moment to be ready for next season.

"We've got to start with these three points at the Etihad and the team is really focused on that. As an Arsenal player there is always that motivation [to beat Tottenham].

"It's something the fans would probably be looking forward to. As players, we need to fight for it as well.

"It doesn't only depend on us of course. We know they have their games to play and have to win them as well so we'll do our end of the job and we're going to hope for the best."

Arsenal take on Manchester City, who themselves are fighting for their top-four status, on Sunday at the Etihad Stadium before hosting rock-bottom Aston Villa on the final day of the season.

Tottenham's last two matches are at home to Southampton and away to Newcastle. Spurs will be without midfielder Deli Alli for both matches as the midfielder is currently serving a three-match suspension.

They're also likely to be without Mousa Dembele following his eye-gouge on Diego Costa on Monday.
