Cape Town - Arsenal first-team coach Neil Banfield has urged the Gunners to sign Jorginho during the summer transfer window, labelling the Napoli player "as the strongest midfielder currently in the Serie A."
Speaking to Italian publication Gonfialarete, Banfield encouraged Arsene Wenger to consider signing the talented 24-year-old Italian midfielder.
"There is a footballer in Naples (for whom I) would sign a blank cheque. This football player is Jorginho - the strongest midfielder currently in the Serie A.
"Watching him play is a pleasure for the eyes, it makes me mad."
The players agent, Joao Santos, in May revealed that the Napoli man had piqued the interest of a number of top sides following a stellar 2015/16 debut season in the Serie A - whereby he featured in 38 games in all competitions for Napoli.
The Brazil-born midfielder, 24, made his international debut for Italy in March 2016, but missed out on Antonio Conte's Euro 2016 squad.
