Cape Town - Newcastle United winger Christian Atsu admits he needs to contribute more in the final third of the season to help the Magpies earn valuable Premier League points.
The Ghana international has only chipped in with one goal and one assist in 10 league games thus far, and is determined to be more productive in the weeks to come.
"I'm working hard for the team but I think I need to score more goals and create more chances," he said, according to the Shields Gazette.
"I need to try and build on my confidence."
Newcastle are preparing to take on Bournemouth in their next league clash on Saturday.
Atsu spent six months on loan at the Cherries but failed to make an impact at the club. However, he insists he has no added pressure to perform against them.
"I've nothing to prove to Bournemouth," added Atsu.
"They're a very good team, they have a great manager and are good on the ball. It'll be a very difficult game but we must win for the fans."
