Cape Town - Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero says he likes to break records as he closes in on the top-20 list of all-time Premier League goalscorers.
The Argentina international has bagged 147 goals in 214 appearances for City since his arrival in July 2011, of which 107 came in the league.
Aguero's tally in the top flight puts him just two behind Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs, who scored 109 times in his long and illustrious career.
In addition, if the 28-year-old were to hit over 20 league goals as he has done in at least three of his five seasons with the Citizens, he'd move above Emile Heskey, Dion Dublin, Ian Wright and Steven Gerrard by the end of this season.
With that said, Aguero still has a long way to go to catch all-time leading scorer Alan Shearer, who has 260 goals.
Nonetheless, he told the club's official website: "Records have never meant much to me if I'm honest. It's nice to break them, I admit, but they aren't a big priority to me.
"Having said that, it still makes me proud to stand where I am in the club's all-time list. If I can keep racking up goals, I hope they come for the benefit of the team and football club."
