Agent: A new deal or Yaya leaves

Cape Town - Yaya Toure and his agent, Dimitry Seluk, have issued Manchester City with an ultimatum threatening to quit the club if they don't offer him a new deal soon.

The 32-year-old midfielder has just a year left on his current £220,000-a-week contract with City and has recently been reported to have turned down a huge offer from the Chinese Super League.

Yaya's agent and business manager Seluk confirmed that an offer to move to Jiangsu Suning did come, but revealed that the player would like to stay at Man City, and hopes that the club makes a good offer in the coming week or he'll have to go somewhere else.

"In the next week we must find a solution about whether Yaya will prolong his contract with City or he will go to another club," Seluk told The Sun.

"We rejected a huge offer from a Chinese club, the same that bought (former Chelsea midfielder) Ramires, for much more money than Ramires. We don't want to go there. And we will never go to China. Yaya does not think about money. Yaya thinks about football.

"He wants to finish at the highest level. The offer from China was more than double what he earns at City. If he liked money more than football he would immediately go to China.

"But Yaya prefers to stay at City. He likes the fans and the town. His heart is in Manchester where his brother Ibrahim died of cancer in a Manchester hospital."

The Ivory Coast international joined Manchester City from Barcelona on a massive £24million transfer in the summer of 2010.
