Wijnaldum wants United move

Cape Town - Dutch midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum has put Manchester United on red alert after indicating he would be open to a summer move.

The Express report that the 23-year-old midfielder wants to leave PSV at the end of the season.

Manchester United's hopes of signing a talented young midfielder were boosted when the PSV captain expressed his feelings over the United coach Louis van Gaal.

Wijnaldum said his former mentor with the national team would "always be special to me" which has seen Old Trafford installed as his most likely destination should he leave the Eredivisie next summer.

The young midfielder has enjoyed a successful career to date and is looking to take his game to the next level.

Wijnaldum played for the Oranje at under 17,19, and 21 level before going on to the senior national squad.

Wijnaldum capped off his meteoric rise with a goal against Brazil in the 3rd/4th playoff at the 2014 Soccer World Cup.
