West Brom, Palace in stalemate

Birmingham - Saido Berahino scored a penalty in injury time to rescue a 2-2 draw for West Bromwich Albion against Crystal Palace on Saturday after the visitors threw away a two-goal lead.

Berahino netted his sixth goal in five games after Victor Anichebe was fouled in the area by Mile Jedinak.

Anichebe had come on as a substitute to pull a goal back with a header in the 51st after Palace went into halftime with a seemingly comfortable lead.

Brede Hangeland put the visitors ahead with a volley in the 16th and Mile Jedinak doubled the lead with a penalty just before the break.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
