Wenger denies Monaco link

Cape Town - Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has dismissed rumours linking him with Monaco, insisting that he is still happy at the Emirates.

Former Les Rouges et Blanc boss Wenger had been heavily linked with both a return to the principality club as well as with Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain before signing a new three-year deal with the Gunners in the off-season.

However, despite pledging his future to the north London club that will take his reign past the 20-year mark, reports in Wenger's native France suggest the 64-year-old would be willing to quit Arsenal at the end of the season for a new challenge at the Stade Louis II.

But Wenger, speaking at the club's pre-match conference ahead of their clash with Hull City, refuted the claims before proceedings even commenced.

"Before we start, I can tell you the story about Monaco that somebody brought out is totally untrue, so you don't need to ask me the question. "I'm happy here," he said.
