Watford win away at Stoke

Stoke - Troy Deeney and Almen Abdi scored as Watford halted Stoke's winning run with a 2-0 away victory in the Premier League on Saturday.

Deeney put the visitors ahead in the 43rd minute, slotting in a low shot for his first Premier League goal and Abdi doubled the lead from distance in the 69th.

Stoke had won their last three league games but couldn't find a reply in manager Mark Hughes's 100th game in charge.

Watford leapfrogged the hosts in the standings with the win.

Newcomers Watford have 13 points from 10 games, with Stoke on 12.
