Vlaar's agent hints at move

Cape Town -

The Mirror report that Dutch defender Ron Vlaar is taking his time in deciding on his future.

Vlaar's Aston Villa contract expires at the end of the season with club boss desperate to keep the strong defender at the club.

Vlaar has caught the eye of both Arsenal and Manchester United following an impressive World Cup campaign under United boss, Louis van Gaal.

The Aston Villa defender has been in good form this season and now must decide where to carry on his playing career.

“It is obvious that for Ron, now is the moment to make a nice big move in his career." said Vlaar's agent, Arnold Oosterveer.

"Ron is very ambitious.

"The situation is ideal for Ron right now. You can imagine that we are not in a hurry.

"I don’t want to react to the rumour that he will move to either Arsenal or Man United, but Ron is very ambitious.”

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
