Villa win feisty Midlands derby

Birmingham - Aston Villa secured back-to-back victories in the Premier League by beating last-place Leicester City 2-1 in a feisty Midlands derby on Sunday, with Alan Hutton grabbing a 71st-minute winner.

The Scotland right-back popped up in the penalty box to chest down Christian Benteke's cross and volley in at the near post for Hutton's first goal for Villa in his fourth season at the club.

Leicester took a 13th-minute lead at Villa Park when Leonardo Ulloa tapped the ball into an empty net after Villa's American goalkeeper Brad Guzan parried a deflected shot by Riyah Mahrez.

Ciaran Clark equalised four minutes later by heading in a free-kick from Ashley Westwood, who was later carried off on a stretcher.

Leicester defender Paul Konchesky was sent off in the 80th minute.

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
