Cape Town - Aston Villa and manager Tim Sherwood have parted ways.
In a statement on the club website, Villa confirmed that a run of poor performances had lead to the decision to relieve Sherwood of his managerial duties.
Assistant manager Ray Wilkens, first-team coach Mark Robson and performance analyst Seamus Brady have left the club as well.
Kevin MacDonald will take temporary control of the squad while the search for a new manager takes place.
