Cape Town - Former Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes has confirmed that his is 'almost ready' to return to the playing field.
Valdes tore his anterior cruciate ligament in March during a match against Celta Vigo.
The injury ended his 12 year Barcelona career and ruled the goalkeeper out of the Soccer World Cup in 2014.
Manchester United offered Victor Valdes the chance to finish is rehabilitation programme at the club, which has increased speculation that Louis van Gaal will sign the 32-year-old as backup to David De Gea.
Valdes has now confirmed that his recovery is almost complete via social media side,Twitter:
