Cape Town - Manchester United will be "very lucky" if they manage to bring Sergio Ramos to Old Trafford this summer, says Ramon Calderon.
Manchester United are interested in including Real Madrid's experienced centre back Sergio Ramos in any move for David De Gea, according to reports.
"Sergio Ramos is an icon for the fans of Real Madrid. He is leader on and off the field." former Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon told talkSPORT.
Calderon believes Ramos is one of the best defenders in the world but the Spanish star is also versatile which makes him an attractive option for most of the world's elite sides.
Calderon says 'It is clear that he is unhappy' at Real Madrid over failed contractual negotiations and the former club president believes Ramos' outspoken support of former manager Carlo Ancelotti may be to blame.
“Let us see what happens in the next few weeks. It is going to be very exciting to know what is happening. If Sergio goes to Man United, they will be very lucky.” added Calderon.
