Manchester United will make two large offers this week in an attempt to bring both Arturo Vidal and Daley Blind to Old Trafford.
According to the Metro, Louis van Gaal has instructed chief executive Ed Woodward to sign Vidal and Blind, despite spending £59.7 million on Angel di Maria on Tuesday.
Reports suggest that Louis van Gaal is ready to take the risk on the Chilean World Cup star despite major injury concerns. The 27-year-old Juventus star has been struggling with a persistent knee problem and was visibly suffering with it during the World Cup in Brazil.
Juventus reportedly will not accept a bid below £30 million for the midfielder.
United are also pursuing a deal to bring Dutch defender Daley Blind to Manchester.
This deal seems more likely with United appearing to accept having to pay the full £18 million price tag on Blind's head.
Signing both Vidal and Blind will take the Red Devils spending to £105 million this week.
Manchester United face Burnley away on Saturday, August 30 in their next English Premiership encounter.
