United receive injury boost

Cape Town - Ander Herrera and Jonny Evans were on the comeback trail after playing in a reserve league outing on Wednesday.

According to the Daily Mail, centre back Jonny Evans last played in the English Premiership in September where he injured his ankle while Spanish midfielder Ander Herrera last played against West Ham.

On Wednesday evening, the pair both played in Manchester United's reserve side's 5-0 win over Blackburn's reserves.

Herrera, who was on the sidelines with a rib injury, played the full 90 minutes but Evans only managed 64 minutes in his comeback match.

Belgian winger Adnan Janujaz was also involved and played the full match.

Manchester United host Hull City on Saturday at Old Trafford. The match kicks off at 17:00 .
