The 24-year-old Holland international is Newcastle United's top trasnfer target, according to the Telegraph.
Wijnaldum was part of the Dutch side that finished third at the 2014 Soccer World Cup which was coached by current Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal.

Wijnaldum signed for PSV from Dutch rivals Feyenoord in 2011 and would become Newcastle United's first summer signing should a deal be completed with PSV.
