Cape Town - New Tottenham Hotspur's boss Mauricio Pochettino wants to offload a full team of players after deeming his squad far too big.
According to the Telegraph, Mauricio Pochettino and chairman Daniel Levy are trying to cut the Spurs' first team drastically ahead of the new season.
The ELEVEN players that Spurs are willing to sell ahead of the new English Premiership season:
1. Andros Townsend
The winger, who performed well last season until injury halted his progress, is believed to be heading to QPR in a player-plus-cash deal for Loic Remy.
2. Aaron Lennon (only if Townsend does not leave)
A somewhat inconsistent performer for Spurs in recent times will be let loose if a deal for Andros Townsend cannot be done.
3. Roberto Soldado
After scoring 11 goals in 36 appearances last term, the Spanish striker is set to depart White Hart Lane with coach Mauricio Pochettino willing to sell for far less than the £26 million he was signed for from Valencia.
4. Michael Dawson
A former club captain, Dawson is one the players Pochettino is eager to move on with two players already lined up as his replacement.
5. Benoît Assou-Ekotto
The Cameroon defender has failed to keep his spot in the starting XI. Assou-Ekotto was sent on loan last season to QPR and Spurs are hoping to cash in on the player this season.
6. Kyle Naughton
The former England under 21 international is not considered to be up to Pochettino's standard and Spurs are interested in moving the player on this season.
7. Nacer Chadli
One of the players who came in after Gareth Bale was sold, Chadli has failed to impress during his time in London. Despite being a full Belgian international, Spurs are eager to recoup some of the £7 million they paid for him. A move back to the Eredivisie is likely at this stage.
8. Sandro
With the club determined to bring in Morgan Schneiderlin from Southampton, Sandro's spot in midfield is no longer guaranteed.
9. Étienne Capoue
Another one of the player brought in with "Bale money", Capoue has failed to live up to his Ligue 1 form. A rumoured move to Cardiff City may yet materilise before the close of the transfer window.
10. Mousa Dembele
After appearing for the club 40 times last season, it comes as a surprise that Spurs are willing to let Dembele go. Perhaps he will be involved in a swap deal with Southampton.
11. Vlad Chicheres
A flop at White Hart Lane last season, the Romanian defender is touted for a move to Roma this season.
