Terry backs Hughes, Hiddink

Wembley - John Terry hopes Chelsea opens talks with Mark Hughes about replacing Carlo Ancelotti as manager, although the Blues captain would also welcome back Guus Hiddink.

Hughes is available from next month after the former Chelsea striker left Fulham on Thursday.

Terry says Hughes is "someone that hopefully the club will be talking to. If it's him he will be welcomed by the players."

As would Hiddink, who won the FA Cup with Chelsea in 2009 as caretaker manager, but is currently employed by Turkey.

Terry says "we had a great time under Guus, he would be welcomed back. Whether we are going to get someone who knows the club or someone different, that's out of the players' hands."

Chelsea fired Ancelotti last month after two seasons in charge.
