Swansea sign Swedish keeper

Swansea - Swedish international goalkeeper Kristoffer Nordfeldt has signed for Premier League outfit Swansea on a three-year deal from Dutch club Heerenveen, the Welsh club said on Tuesday.

The 26-year-old, who moved for an undisclosed fee, has five caps with Sweden and played three full seasons as first choice keeper with the Dutch club.

Lukasz Fabianski is Swansea's first-choice keeper but with the departure of Gerhard Tremmel and David Cornell this summer they needed to bring in cover.

Manager Garry Monk has already brought in forward Andre Ayew and left-back Franck Tabanou as he seeks to build on last season's highest Premier League finish of eighth.

No! I think the smart thing to do is start again with a younger skipper ...

I'd keep Siya captain for now, but look to have someone else for 2027.
