Swans, Hammers in stalemate

Swansea - West Ham picked up a hard-earned point on the road with a 0-0 draw at Swansea in the Premier League on Sunday.

The Hammers' dead-ball threat troubled Swansea with Angel Rangel hooking a long free-kick from Razvan Rat off the line while Guy Demel and Kevin Nolan also had good chances.

At the other end, West Ham goalkeeper Jussi Jaaskelainen made two point-blank stops to deny Chico Flores and Wilfried Bony.

Swansea had a penalty appeal for handball against Joe Cole turned down in stoppage time after a cross from Nathan Dyer.

West Ham are 15th with nine points from nine games, two points behind Swansea in ninth.
