London - Already relegated West Ham left the Premier League with their 19th defeat on Sunday, losing 3-0 to Sunderland.
Boudewijn Zenden headed in the Black Cats' first goal in the 17th minute, Stephane Sessegnon made it 2-0 six minutes after the interval and Riveros grabbed a third in the 90th at Upton Park.
West Ham finished bottom of the 20-team league with 33 points - six points behind Blackpool and Birmingham who were also relegated.
The east London club was led by first-team coach Kevin Keen against Sunderland after the departure of manager Avram Grant last weekend when the Hammers lost 3-2 to Wigan and were relegated.
