Suarez scoops top EPL award

Cape Town - Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has been named English Premiership Player of the Season, while Crystal Palace boss, Tony Pulis, has won the Manger of the Season award.

According to the Soccer Laduma website, Suarez also won the Golden Boot after scoring 31 goals this season, equalling Cristiano Ronaldo’s record for a 38-game season (in 2008) when at Manchester United.

Pulis saved Crystal Palace from relegation after taking over when they only had four points in November last year.

Palace finished with 45 points and in 11th position in the final standings.

Chelsea's Petr Cech and Arsenal's Wociech Szczesny jointly won the Golden Glove after picking up 16 clean sheets each.
