Cape Town - Stoke City boss Mark Hughese has not yet thrown in the towel over the potential transfer of Oussama Assaidi from Liverpool.
The Moroccan national team member spent last season on loan with Stoke City and Hughes' is keen on bringing the player to the Britannia Stadium on a permanent deal.
The Sentinelis reporting that Stoke's attempt to sign Oussama Assaidi may end in vain as the Liverpool player is demanding wages in the region of £45,000 per week.
Stoke City have been trying to broker a deal with Liverpool as well as the player's agent for some time but there seems to be little prospect of the deal succeeding.
Mark Hughes, responding to the negative view surrounding the transfer, said: "It's
on-going and these things happen. Everybody knows we are interested and that is
still the case."
Assaidi scored 5 goals in 25 appearances for Stoke.
