Cape Town - Stoke City will make Switzerland midfielder Xherdan Shaqiri their most expensive player after reaching a deal with Inter Milan, according to reports.
The BBC report that Stoke City and Inter Milan have agreed a fee for the transfer of Xherdan Shaqiri.
The British website understand that Stoke have agreed to beat the £10 million they paid for Peter Crouch in 2011 to secure the signing of former Bayern Munich midfielder.
The 23-year-old tricky midfielder will cost the Potters £12 million.
Shaqiri never managed to break into the Bayern midfielder and was sold to Inter in January but now looks set to complete a move to the Britannia Stadium.
Stoke City have already added forward Joselu (Hannover) and goalkeeper Jakob Haugaard (FC Midtjylland) to their squad ahead of the 2015/16 season.
