Spurs to demolish 2012 icon?
London - Tottenham says its plan to tear down the London Olympic Stadium and build a new 60,000-capacity venue in its place, without the running track, is the only viable option for the main 2012 Games structure.

The Premier League club also claims that a rival bid from West Ham is flawed, because football fans would not have a good enough view of the field if it retains the track.
If Tottenham is the preferred bidder on January 28, the north London club says it will redevelop the Crystal Palace stadium in south London.
But Tottenham could still instead pursue the option to build a new stadium on its existing White Hart Lane site even if it wins the right to move into the Olympic Stadium.
