London - Tottenham completed the signing of Hoffenheim midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson on Wednesday, one day after the appointment of new Spurs manager Andre Villas-Boas.
Sigurdsson was one of the revelations of the Premier League last season after excelling during a loan spell for newly promoted Swansea.
The 22-year-old had initially been linked with a move to Liverpool following the departure of Swansea boss Brendan Rodgers to Anfield.
However the Icelandic international, who scored seven times in 19 appearances for Swansea, has opted to join Villas-Boas at White Hart Lane.
