Spurs plan transfer spree

Cape Town - Tottenham Hotspur will undergo massive personnel changes after Daniel Levy gave Mauricio Pochettino's transfer plans the green light.

The Mirror report that Tottenham Hotspur will attempt to overhaul their erratic squad in January.

Reports indicate that Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy will back Mauricio Pochettino's ambitious transfer plans with the necessary funds when the transfer window opens in January.

Mauricio Pochettino wants to bring in three new faces while trimming his squad by axing four senior figures.

Spurs are looking to sell Emmanuel Adebayor, Jan Vertonghen, Aaron Lennon and Mousa Dembele and replacing the quartet by bringing in Spain centre-back Raul Albiol (Napoli) and Southampton duo, Morgan Schneiderlin and Jay Rodriguez.

USA defender DeAndre Yedlin will join the club on a permanent deal in January after he signed from Seattle Sounders before being loaned back to the MLS side to complete the season.

Pochettino has £20 million to sign players and will need to boost that figure by selling the four experienced Spurs players.

Crystal Palace held Spurs to a goalless draw on Saturday to see the White Hart Lane side drop to 10th on the English Premiership table.
